Frequently Asked Questions About Your Home Four Peaks
Are there linens and towels provided? Yes, all homes come fully equipped for you to enjoy your stay from the moment you walk in. There is 1 set of linens for each bed, and approximately 2 towels per person. There are hot tub towels also provided in the bathroom near the hot tub. There are sheets and a blanket provided for each sleeper sofa. The location of these are listed in your concierge manual in your home. Laundry Facilities are available in the home in abundance.
Are there pack-n-plays or high chairs available for children? There is one Pack-n-Play available in the closet in the home for your use. Sheets and blankets are not provided with the pack-n-plays. Additional pack-n-plays we can acquire one from a rental facility near-by for a charge.
Are there Portable booster/high-chairs available for children? We have 1 portable high chair (straps to a typical dining chair). The owners of Four Peaks is not responsible for any injury resulting from the use of a high-chair with your child. If additional high chairs are needed, we can aquire one from a rental facility near-by for a charge.
Are there hairdryers in the home? Yes, there are hairdryers available for your use.
Are there humidifiers provided? How many? Your home is equipped with 4 humidifiers. If additional humidifiers are needed, we can acquire one from a rental facility near-by for a charge.
Is there wireless in the home? Yes, your home is equipped with wireless access (WIFI). The wireless name and passcode are available in the concierge manual in your home. It is serviced by a nationwide provider. Please remember you are in the mountains, and while we do everything we can to be sure the service is available, systems sometimes do need to be reset and wireless service can be disrupted during your stay. If there is an emergency need for internet, you can always find service at Starbucks in town on Main Street between Adams and Washington.
Is there a phone in the house? Does it have long distance? Can I have the direct number? Your home is equipped with a phone. The phone is serviced by qwest/vonage. If the home has vonage service, you have free long distance. Please note that vonage is possible through the internet connection. If the internet is down, or in case of a loss of power, phone service is not available. In order to ensure the privacy of other guests, you may obtain the phone number of the home from the concierge manual upon arrival.
Is the fireplace gas burning or wood? If wood, where can we find wood? Your home has gas burning fireplaces. Please do not attempt to burn anything in the fireplace. Switch locations are designated in the concierge manual in the home. If there is ever a problem igniting the fireplace, please turn off immediately, and call Season’s Dreams to schedule repair.
Does the home have a washer and dryer? How many? Yes, your home has a 3 washers and 3 dryers facility to use. Laundry detergent is not provided. Please be sure to use HE washer detergent to help maintain the washers and prevent flooding of your private home.
Is the hot tub serviced during our stay? Your hot tub is serviced by professional Hot Tub care before you arrive, and every 2-3 days during your stay. There is a sign posted near the hot tub in case service is necessary during your stay for cloudy or low water levels. Please call the number provided for expedited service. If the water is lower than the jets, or becomes cloudy (from high use without showering first) during your stay, please do not enter without calling the service technicians. It is best to call earlier in the day to be sure service can be scheduled.
Is there a crock pot in the kitchen? Is there a soup pot? Blender? There is a crock pot, soup pot and blender.
Are there spices stocked in the kitchen? We do not provide specific spices in the kitchen. If you have a favorite spice you want to cook with, please be sure to bring it with you, or purchase that at the City Market Grocery Store. Some spices may be available from past guests leaving them.
Where is the nearest shuttle stop? What is the shuttle schedule? The nearest shuttle stop to your home is located on Main & Jefferson street. It is on the orange line. You can review the timetables for the schedule at http://www.townofbreckenridge.com/index.aspx?page=136
What is the nearest ski lift to the home? How far away in the nearest lift? Can we walk? The nearest ski lift is the Quicksilver lift on the base of Peak 9 that is 300 yards away from FPI. It is less than 5 minutes walk.
What ski lesson location is most convenient to the home? If scheduling ski lessons, you should consider the Village ski school.
Where is the grocery store located in town? There are 2 grocery stores in town. The City Market is the largest, and is part of the King Soopers and Kroger Chains. The City Market is located off French Street at the North end of town. Season’ s Dreams can stock your kitchen for you at a rate of $40/hour. If you are taking a private shuttle, they usually can make 1 stop at the grocery store, and I believe they allow you a minimal amount of time for the stop. If you are on a shared shuttle, they can not make the stop at the grocery store.
The second grocery store is Food Kingdom Grocery Store. It is a small convenience store located on Ridge Street between Jefferson and Adams.
Natural Grocers is located in Dillon approximately 10 miles from Breckenridge. It is a food and supplemental store chain (like Whole Foods) with an organic heart.
What activities are there to do in town? Summer, Winter, Spring and Fall, there is a lot to do in Breckenridge. Please have a look at our activities page. Unfortunately, we don’t have specific information on vendors unless listed on this page. Please call the information center in town for more information and reserving activities. Can I have something delivered to the home prior to my arrival? Perhaps you want to ship something special for your stay in Breckenridge. Perhaps you prefer to ship your luggage or additional baggage. We offer the ability to send your packages to Breckenridge prior to arrival. We respectfully request that items are not sent directly to homes in the chance they arrive early, or not in time for your reservation. We can not take responsibility for packages delivered directly to the home as the homes may be occupied by other guests, or not occupied during delivery. Please email us for the address to send packages. We will have it for you in your home upon arrival.
How far away is Main Street? Can we walk? Main Street is one block away from Four Peaks. Yes, you can walk.
Can we check-in early? Can we check-out late? Especially during the peak travel months, early check-in or check-out might not be possible due to cleaning schedules. Standard Check-in time is 4:00p.m., standard Check-out time is 10:00a.m. When you get your directions and access information, we should be able to confirm is early arrival or late check-out is possible. If possible, we can offer a free early check-in of 2:00p.m. and late check-out of 11:00a.m. To guarantee an earlier check-in or check-out time we charge an additional half day rate. This charge is for blocking out the previous/next night on the calendar. The early check-in or later check-out stops us from renting the home the night before and giving you the guarantee that the cleaners and inspectors have the home prepared for your arrival.
Where is the gondola lot located? There are 2 lots to the gondola, North and South. The North Lot is the main lot located off French street between Main and Park. The South Lot is located off Watson between Main and Park. There is a free drop-off location in the North end of the South lot off Watson. If your home comes with a parking pass to the gondola, the pass will work in either lot.
Riding the gondola is free of charge. The gondola runs between the hours of 7:30a.m. to 5:00p.m. (please check directly with the gondola for any changes). The Breckenridge Gondola Ride time lasts approximately 10 minute from Transportation Center to Peak 8 Gondola Terminal. Access to the mountain is available at Peak 7 mid-station.
Are there any drop-off locations or additional Parking for Skiing (or the Peak 8 fun park)? Peak 7 and 8 have absolutely no drop off locations or parking lots at the lifts. Access is by gondola or bus only. Peak 9 has a drop off location by Beaver Run Resort.
Paid parking is available for $10 adjacent the gondola in the Miners and Tailings lots, with free parking available across the street at the Gold Rush and Postal lots. Skiers and riders can now ski directly back to the town and these parking lots via the Skyway Skiway, accessible from the Lower Four O’clock run on Peak 8. The free parking lot is located on Airport Road north of the recreation center. Transportation is provided to Peak 8 by the Breckenridge Free Ride System.
How do we get the keys to the home? 2 weeks before your reservation, we will check that full payment has been made, and the contract is returned. Once we have everything, directions and access information will be sent to the lead guest of the reservation (the name and email on the contract). All homes are coded with a lock-box or garage entry specifically for your stay
Does the home have a games console? The home has a pool table and air hockey table. There is not a separate gaming console like wii or xbox.
What sort of car must I rent for this home? During the winter, we strongly suggest a 4 wheel drive, or an all wheel drive car to manoeuvre in the areas with adverse driving conditions. However, with Four Peaks being right in the heart of town, we find that many people utilize a shuttle to get to Breckenridge and then either walk or use the shuttle system around town.
